Expectations
I was exchanging emails with a friend about a friendship drama of theirs, and the following thought came up. Just thought I'd share:
It's very hard to forgive while we expect, while we have an idea of our need and our right that another person has to give us. When we are content in ourselves, and can be happy regardless, we have less invested in making the other person wrong.
